Monkey "see no evil"

I had a lovely validation today watching this episode of  “Empire” on al Jazeera online. They were discussing Edward Snowden and the American secrecy complex. So refreshing to hear other people, including young Americans, discuss the larger mess. I agree that no one is “watching the watchers” and suggest that there are elements within the U.S. government that have been out of civilian control for decades. No one president can fix it. Congress doesn't try much. The majority of U.S. citizens are playing the monkey role "see no evil."
